Get Involved with Student Mentorship Program

The Doyon Foundation Alumni Association is in the process of refining and expanding its student mentorship program, which was established as a way for alumni members to support current students. That support could range from offering math tutoring to helping a rural student transition to life on a college campus.

As part of the process, the association is currently seeking an alumni member interested in serving as a volunteer mentorship coordinator. This person would be the point of contact for students interested in having a mentor and alumni interested in being a mentor. The coordinator would also be responsible for interviewing the student about their particular wants, needs and interests, then pairing them with an alumni association member who could best meet their needs.

The association is also looking for students interested in being paired with an alumni mentor.
